GENERAL STORE POLICIES OF CONTEMPORARY GALLERIES
With proper identification, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Outside Financing, Personal or Business Checks as forms of payment. No checks over $500 will be accepted for any take with order.
ITEMS TO BE RETURNED
Stock item(s), (except clearance items, custom orders and items damaged after leaving the store), can be returned for a refund providing it is returned within 30 days from the date of purchase. Providing any item(s) to be returned have not been assembled by anyone other than employees of Contemporary Galleries and a sales receipt is shown for proof of purchase, a refund will be given based upon the original form of payment. Gift certificates are not refundable. Items such as mattresses, box springs, bedding and sleeper sofas are not returnable, for health reasons & for your protection (we cannot guarantee comfort so please sample in the showroom until satisfied).
Item(s) that have smoke odor, pet odor, pet hair or fragrance are not returnable. Services such as designer service fees, delivery fees and extended warranty service fees cannot be returned and/or refunded if the service has already been provided or applied to the product. A 30% restocking fee may be imposed upon items returned.
If an item(s) is returned and was originally paid for by check then a refund check will be mailed to you within 1 week from the date of the return. If purchased by a credit card, then a credit card refund will be made at the time of the return. If purchased by cash and the refund is under $20.00, a cash refund will be given otherwise a refund check will be mailed to you. If a receipt is not presented and/or the purchase price cannot be determined by the manager, then a store credit will be issued at the most recent sale price. Any checks returned due to insufficient funds will be charged a $25.00 service fee.
STORE CREDITS/GIFT CERTIFICATES
All store credits and gift certificates are valid for 2 years from the date of issue. Any remaining credit not used after 2 years will be forfeited from the customer’s account. Actual paper gift certificates do not always reflect the dollar amount remaining on the customer’s account. Our computer will have an accurate record of the actual balance remaining. Gift certificates and store credits are not refundable.
ITEMS ON SALE
If an item goes on sale within 2 weeks of your possession date, then a store credit will be issued for the difference between the sale price and your purchase price. It’s the customer’s responsibility to request the store credit within 14 days of the ending sale date. This is the only form of credit to be issued and it can be applied towards an immediate or future purchase. Proof of purchase is required. Items tagged with sale prices pertain to in stock merchandise only.
ITEMS TAGGED CLEARANCE (non-returnable)
All items which have a price ending in $0.99 are designated clearance items. ALL CLEARANCE ITEMS ARE PRICED AS IS AND ARE NON-RETURNABLE. The item is on clearance because we are discontinuing it, it is one of a kind, or the item has a blemish. So please, no-hassle because if it’s right for you it carries a good value. A delivery fee will be added to any clearance item(s) that are to be delivered.
CUSTOM OR SPECIAL ORDERS AND/OR ITEMS OUT OF STOCK
Arrival times are approximated, based upon the average shipping time of the manufacturer. However, due to unpredictable circumstances, we can not guarantee a specific arrival time on any item especially with imported products. Custom orders cannot be returned or cancelled after the manufacturer has confirmed production of your order so please be sure of your size and color selection. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required before your order can be placed. You will be contacted once your item is received at our warehouse facility. If you cannot take immediate delivery once the order has arrived then we will allow 15 days before we require the order to be paid in full.
Contemporary Galleries offers pre-determined financing options, subject to approved credit through an outside agency. Once an order has been delivered or completed then the contract & application is purchased by an outside agency. It is the customer’s responsibility to send payments to the financial institution and pay them within the specified contract requirements. Be sure you understand your contract, payments due, balance and terms of the contract. Contemporary Galleries cannot be responsible for any delinquent or late payments and/or fees incurred due to the misinterpretation of the contract.
We make every effort to select and sell quality products as your satisfaction with our products is of the utmost importance to us. Our product warranty will cover manufacturer defects for a period of one year from the date of possession for residential use only under normal conditions, unless the manufacturer has their own warranty. Commercial use will be warranted only if the manufacturer has their own commercial use warranty. Items that are beyond the warranty terms will incur a minimum evaluation fee. An estimated repair charge will be quoted before work is performed. We provide repair service for a nominal fee. Regarding fabrics and materials, due to the nature of some materials, fading, bleeding and/or shrinkage may occur upon cleaning. These situations are beyond our control and are to be cleaned at the customer’s own risk and if they occur are not returnable. Please check with us before cleaning a product for specific directions from the manufacturer.
Products offer complimentary assembly. Delivery services are available for additional charges. The Kentucky Revenue Cabinet requires us to collect sales tax on delivery charges per regulations Reg.KRS.139.050. Markdowns are considered special sale or clearance prices. Houseware items being with “H” = our category classification.
Everyday Value tagged items do not receive further discounts during promotions as they are on sale every day. Items tagged with sale prices pertain to in stock merchandise only
ITEMS TO BE DELIVERED
We provide a delivery service for a nominal fee within Jefferson County. Deliveries beyond this county will be charged different rates based upon the county of where the delivery will be made. All deliveries must be paid for in full prior to delivery (COD’s are not applicable, no exceptions). You will be contacted by our Operations Manager by phone or email within a reasonable time frame of your purchase. Delivery services only cover 2 flights of stairs, any additional stair flights will incur additional fees. Our delivery staff cannot mount any items to wall, cannot connect or disconnect electronic and/or computer equipment and/or move any other furniture other than your new purchase. Delivery fees are non-refundable once the order is delivered. Any item(s) that has been previously delivered that needs to be picked up will incur an additional delivery fee. We can store any order over 15 days from the purchase date providing that the order is paid in full. Orders on Will Call require a 10 day minimum advanced notice be given to us when the customer is ready for delivery so that we can prepare your order.
Customer information that we obtain will be kept confidential and will not be shared or sold to secondary sources.
